Something about her eyes that lured me in

I saw her photo and there was something about her eyes that lured me in.

After looking her profile over (seeing she is willing to relocate: important later) I sent a flirt, she sent one back and we started talking on WhatsApp a few days later she asked if we could do a video chat. I was nervous but agreed, we started talking and she lured me out of my shell. We eventually agreed to meet in person.

Here's the snag: I live in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada and she lived in Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. We found out that it was easier for me to go to Nigeria then for her to go to Canada. Having said that, I still needed a Nigerian visa in my passport that was still tricky to get. It was a stressful process but eventually I got it.

After I got my Nigerian travel visa (there were no flights from Canada to Nigeria at the time so) On January 19th 2024 I flew from Saskatoon to Toronto to Cairo, Egypt to Lagos on the 20th. (yes it was 2 days of flying and layovers) Every time I boarded one of those planes I kept feeling really nervous and realizing that I'm really doing this. (I had never been to Nigeria before or go meet someone I met online before).

After landing in Lagos I met her in person (at the airport) for the first time and gave her a huge hug. Her older sister was there to make sure I wasn't dangerous and my older sister put a tracking device on me and got me to let her know I was okay everyday I was there incase the woman was dangerous or someone was going to kidnap me. (Find love, but still do it safely).

I'm going back to Lagos soon and in February 2025 I'm going to marry the black woman of my dreams and you can do it too. You might have to cross an ocean like I did, but it is worth it to find your significant other, the long plane rides and getting that Nigerian travel visa, it is all worth it.

My fiancé and I were separated by 10,665 kilometers and Atlantic Ocean. But thanks to AfroRomance we ended up together.
