Crazy to think that Will Smith is 50 – especially as we still binge-watch Fresh Prince reruns on a weekly basis!

However, the Fresh Prince actor is indeed 50 years old, and he did something pretty spectacular to celebrate the occasion.
He conquered his fear of heights and jumped out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon – and the best thing is that it was streamed live on YouTube! God bless the internet!
Will Smith is quite open about his fear of heights, so we’re pretty amazed to see him do something like this…
"I've had a whole lifetime of feeling squashed and squelched and controlled by fear," Will Smith can be heard saying in the accompanying voice-over.
"There's nothing worse than walking around scared."
Quite right! Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith, daughter Willow Smith and son Jaden Smith were all with him as he prepared to take the very brave heli-jump.
Alfonso Ribeiro, who played the legendary Carlton Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, even interviewed him pre-jump.
After receiving medical clearance and a lot of words of encouragement, Will Smith finally did it. And from what we can see from the video, it seemed like he actually enjoyed it, even shouting “this is gorgeous, this is gorgeous” mid-air!
"Nothing will ever be scarier than that," he told his family after he returned to the ground.
"It goes from complete absolute terror to the most magnificent bliss you've ever felt in your life...The whole Grand Canyon is mine."
Congratulations Will Smith – and happy 50th birthday!

My brother had planned to jump out of a plane on his 50th birthday. I guess this is where he got this ideal from.
