"It's disheartening", Meghan Markle told BBC about the scrutiny they underwent for being an interracial couple. This was during an interview where her engagement to Prince Harry was confirmed.

"You know it's a shame that that is the climate in this world to focus that much on that or that that would be discriminatory in that sense, but I think...at the end of the day I'm really just proud of who I am and where I come from, and we have never put any focus on that. We've just focused on who we are as a couple."

Being biracial, Markle has been a victim of media tearing her apart, the moment there were rumors about her relationship with Harry. It was all intrusive and racist. In a statement in November 2016, Harry came to her defense worried that critics would drive his girl away. In the statement, Harry accused the media, racist and sexist trolls of "crossing the line". All this made him worried about Markle's personal safety.
The couple confirmed their engagement on Monday. Harry proposed when Markle was "trying to roast a chicken".
Asked whether he felt their relationship was bringing in something new to the royal family, Harry simply replied the Markle was just joining the family adding:
"I know that the fact that she'll be really unbelievably good at the job part of it as well is almost is a huge relief to me because she'll be able to deal with everything else that comes with it. We're a fantastic team. We know we are. And, we hope to, over time, try and have as much impact for all the things that we care about as much as possible."
We gotta admit, being the first mixed race royal is something! Claiming his love for his girlfriend, Harry says: "the stars were aligned" as he had never watched "Suits"."This beautiful woman just tripped and fell into my life, I fell into her life," he says.
WOW!!!

Yep! That's the same LIBERAL media who love to push the liberal agenda of "equality and acceptance" (like all liberals do) but then can't live up to it themselves. The reason I am not a liberal.

Real love like they have has no boundaries and neither should we as men and women. Love who you are and who you choose to love deeply! Harry and Meghan are beautiful! Bless their marriage and relationship going forward and may they continue to have strength to be bonded together by their undeniable love for one another.

I see no problem in interracial relationships. I believe the only key is love for one another. Love has no boundaries!

Anyone critical of their relationship needs to get a grip! It’s 2017 and this racism crap should have died right along side of the dinosaurs! Anyone who claims they are Christian and make derogatory statement, not only do I doubt their faith, but they really need to know what The Bible says about love and need to TRULY invite Jesus into their heart, because they are of the devil himself, PERIOD! We as humans are on the verge of extinction if this kind of hatred persists!

Good day everyone, I'm bewildered by some of the members comments??? The naivete of the comments, and the simplicity of the comments; interracialdating dot com is devoted exclusively for members to find THAT SPECIAL PERSON no matter of ethnicity, heritage, location and RACE. It's extremely disappointing in the twenty first century that bigotry and racism aren't a byproduct of poor parenting, or exposure... we have a President... a significant populists who are ancient.. and archaic in ideologies who wallow in OUR demise... sadly, "we" haven't recognized our special or common goal... acceptance.

What you SHOULD be "bewildered" about is the LIBERAL media who rants on and on with the liberal motto of 'equality and acceptance' being the first to go against their own motto. That liberal news media who tell us how bad bullying is and love to cater to the feminists with their very FAKE care and concern whenever something happens to women. Or how fake they are about care and concern when some type of racial incident happens to "people of color". This is that same news media who are making an issue out of race within the relationship between these two awesome people. Thanks liberals!!!

Controversial in 2017??? Wow. A lot of us on the planet are mixed to some degree. Who cares about negative comments these people and their lives are lacking. We don’t rely on them to change the world for the better, nor seek their approval! All you need is love ...

People should just learn how to mind their own business. If he loves her and she loves him then that is all that matters.

Well said Malcomb. I think that because "we" have to work that much harder, to achieve it (happiness) -- this can certainly add to its appreciation!
